School Councillors Hari Raya Celebration

Last Thursday on the 8th of October saw the school's Counselling Committee and Form 4 Councillors (Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya or shortly known as PRS) had successfully organised Hari Raya celebration and a farewell ceremony to bid goodbye to the Form 5 Councillors for leaving the school soon to pursue further studies. The event took place in the school's Conference Room and attended by the Councillors' committee, together with various guests.

The occasion started with the arrival of a convoy of administration staffs headed by the school Principal, Ckg. Hadion Lim Beng Guan. A recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Izwan Farhan opened the chapter, praying to the Almighty for blessings to the upcoming itineraries. Then it was followed by the speech from the guest of honour, the school Principal. Among his words he advised to all the leaving and staying Councillors to not neglect the experiences obtained but rather assimilate for future profession. Another speech from the 2008-2009 chairman, Muhammad Naif bin Zainal was also observed, on behalf of the 2008-2009 Councillors thanking to all the respective individuals for the opportunity for being able to present dedication as school Councillors.

The first main itinerary was the prize presentation to the participants of the Health Youth Camp which was held somewhere in the middle of this year. All the participants, which were Form 4 Councillors, received a certificate and a miniature trophy. In that camp the school's participants won the first place and so the first-place trophy was being handed, this time to the Principal on behalf of the school. Another presentation soon followed, giving certificates to the 2008-2009 Councillors as an appreciation for their involvements.

As part of enlivening the cheerful mood a song performance added the programme's series of events. Muhammad Khairul Azmi bin Tunggal touched the hearts of those present with his mellow voice and chosen ballad song. Another Khairul Azmi was able to draw their attention through his attractive singing. Together with lucky draws with interesting prizes won by lucky teachers and students smiles and even laughters were able to be erected on the attendance's faces.

Concluding the event the organiser had provided a sumptuous set of delicacies to cater the Hari Raya mood. While the guests and the senior Councillors were busy appreciating the taste of chicken curry, ripened rambutans and mangosteens, and other scrumptious foods, the junior Councillors in batch sang Hari Raya-related songs, thus complementing further the already happy atmosphere.

Thanks to this event, the 2008-2009 Councillors present won't forget the happy moments that had been created for being the school Councillors for two years. The experiences, the friendship and memories will be carried forward as part of each Councillor's history, to be reminisced somewhere in the future. To the junior Councillors and Counselling committee teachers, thank you for the unforgettable celebration!
