Hello, November

Can't believe, but we've reached November of 2009 already. Another twenty-nine days to come and without even realising we will step into the final month of the year 2009. Time flies very fast, so fast in fact it felt like IJSO had happened just a month ago. In a pessimistic side, the situation indicates the Doomsday is getting nearer. Even in Al-Quran it says so, however, stating speeding time is a minor sign of the approaching Armageddon.

Anyway, let see what occasions I'll have for this month to come:

1. 'O' Level examinations - Commencing the remaining duration of less than two weeks will be Mathematics 2, Additional Mathematics, Physics with practical and Chemistry and Biology, collectively without experiments. Rather than considering examinations as 'battlegrounds', I utilise the chances to see how much I have comprehended in lessons for the past 12 years, primary and secondary inclusive.

2. Returning of textbooks - There are relatively plenty of thick textbooks to be handed back to the school, from Mathematics to Computer Studies. I think some are just useless, compacting home cabinets, the best reason they can provide. Example, two Form 5 Mathematics textbooks, even my action of skimming trough them is countable. Of course, others are vital; their absence can cause great deals. Three best examples are the three science textbooks themselves.

3. School holidays! - When the last book is set back into the store, then I can, metaphorically or literally, shout "Holidays!" I'm really looking forward to this: no more scheduled lessons, early wakeups and forced revisions. I guess the post 'O' Level holidays will start in the final third of this month.

4. Korean Culture Week (4th-7th) - Just around the corner UBD will once again organise this event, in conjunction with the annual Convocation Festival. As a loyal fan, or maniac as my friends label me, I will try my best to come to this event which will be conducted in Chancellor Hall, UBD (not to mention persuading my dad to provide temporary transport, hehe). This event is an annual event yet I didn't join the crowd for the past few years, obviously because I wasn't interested in Korea in the first place.

I hope November will be encountered and pass by as smoothly as possible. Just an extract from my own words of encouragement, "No two seconds are identical." Therefore, to all individuals out there, including myself, of course, use your time wisely.
